Oh, Rats! Pt. 2

Husband did a wonderful job of patching holes last nite. And as he carefully dragged the tent bag out to the curb for the trash, Momma Mouse ran out. His report was that she was much bigger than the others we've seen, so she's clearly been having babies whilst inhabiting our garage. Woohoo? So the question remains: How many are left?

Husband also put out a large area rug for the trash because I had no idea on how to clean it. Therefore, I didn't want to sell it in a garage sale and it has no place in our home.

Amusingly, both tent bag and area rug were gone this morning from the curb. Really, maybe picking up others trash isn't a good idea. Should we have put a sign on them: "Infested with mice. Steal at your own risk." Ick.

Not stealing if you leave it in the trash at the curb...

Get a cat!

I did not take your mice.

I am always amazed at what people will take from your trash pile. What on earth do you think they do with it?!?

Um, as someone who takes from trash piles, it would have been nice to have a sign. However, you really do take at your own risk so it's their problem. And I would never take "soft" items. That's gross. The brother would (and has). I did, however, take a dresser. Will post a pic if I'm ever able to again... And, japruf, 3 cats already live there.

Yes, japruf, we do have three cats. Which is the only reason we can figure why the mice did not take up immediate residence with us inside the house. However, because of the sad and somewhat dangerous state of the garage we don't let them run around out there. Plus, never having actually eaten anything like a mouse (that we know of), cleaning up mice guts were not our idea of a good time. Though they probably wouldn't have eaten it, just played with it until it was dead.
