So this is pretty much what has occupied my life for the last few months, and partially the reason for me not posting frequently. See, I’m battling the morning (read “all-day”) sickness and it has caused me to develop strange aversions. Not just aversions to foods, but activities. I don’t like the water closet in the master bedroom anymore. There’s a cosmetic I’ve had to stop using. I get sick when I think about shopping at Old Navy (that’s getting a little better, thank goodness). And, yes, I have an aversion to my blog. I think it would help if I was to give it a makeover, but that would require me working on it….ick. I have been keeping up with everybody, but I can’t stand the sight of mine. It is set as the homepage at work and I quickly have to stop it from loading or change directions before it loads fully. I’m sure some of it has to do with the nagging feeling that I need to post. Just one more thing to do. But much as I might have expected, the blogging world has gone on without me, and that’s great. It has provided some entertainment.
Anyway, the baby is doing very well according to the nurse. The whole doctor situation has been a comedy of errors, but Husband and I are very relieved to have discovered there’s no need to worry. We have made it to Week 14 and officially out of the first trimester so I’m counting the hours until the sickness stops (yeah, right) and trying to not be too obsessed with counting calories and pounds as they gaily join the party. Husband (and his grandfather, apparently) have commented on how much the baby already looks like him. And I’m secretly, frantically looking up other ultrasound pictures on the web to make sure it’s okay you can’t see the legs (insert comment about crazy pregnant lady hormones here).

Oh, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Welcome to most amazing 10-month ride of your life. I'm so thankful this has happened for you!
And you can totally see the legs! They are the little things sticking out there beneath the torso. They just didn't show up that great in the u/s because he/she was likely squirming around at being molested by an u/s-tech.
Are you going to find out what it is?! Oh yay! Another preggo lady!
Thank you! We haven't decided yet if we want to know the gender. I think it's going to be a boy, but what do I know. I don't know if I'd know what to do with a girl anyway. Never been around a little one of those.
I can give lots of advice, but only if you want it. That's what I use all my preggo/mommy friends for. I want to know it all!
And Bubba and I are too big of type-A personalities to NOT find out the gender. We had to plan, man!
I'm so glad the cat's out of the bag. I don't trust myself with big secrets... And congrats again, of course!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
