So I've jumped on the bandwagon and started a blog. Something that seemed like it would be so easy to do after countless hours of reading everyone else's. But now that I've sat down to do it....well, my husband's proclamation that no one would want to read a blog about "your life" seems to be ringing true. Granted, he meant the universal "you" and not specifically me, but really how interesting can my life be? So, whatever, stick around, or don't. I've been know to be clever on occasion.
The title was very difficult. Everyone else's seemed so witty but I think mine is appropriate as I will often use this as a "container" of sorts for some of the millions of things going on in my head at any one time. Sometimes they all get so loud that I can't do anything else. That and I am momentarily obsessed with the Harry Potter books again.
"Geek" is a throwback to college that never went away - maybe that makes it not so much of a throwback. My mom used to call me "Giq" (soft G) growing up and someone in my dorm morphed it into "geek". From then on I was always introduced as "geek". The sad part was realizing that the random person that just started talking to you doesn't even know your real name. Admittedly, I still use it as a signature because it's easier at times than typing my real name (9 letters...ugh).
Still trying to figure out what to put in my description...I never was very good at that. Like those questions, "If you could be a tree, what kind would you be?" or " What flavor of ice cream would you be?". I have a hard enough time figuring out who I am without having to change species or nutritional information.

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging! Thanks for posting on mine, I don't have many posters and am always glad to see a new name!
Love the name of your blog, btw. I've recently gotten back into the HP books again, too, and am re-reading them all. I can hardly wait for No. 7!
Also, how did you find me? I see you're in TX, and also that you're an engineer. I am, too, what kind are you? What part of TX, if you don't mind my asking? (You can email all this to me if you'd rather it not be out here in cyberspace for any and everyone.)
I went to school with Bubba, lived in the same dorm complex, and was roommates with Candice. AND I am the same kind of engineer as Bubba, only not on as grand a scale. I imagine his projects are slightly more high profile than mine, though I wouldn't discount mine too much.
I love reading about your adventures in NYNY together!!
YEA!!! I'm so glad you're posting! And I want to read about your life...
You've got another reader - me! Feel free to check out my blog as well. I know Bubba better than anyone (katielady, you are a close second!) because we grew up together. He's a helluva guy, that Bubba.
