Happiness is...

This girl who is growing too fast, learning to read, sassy in pink, sleeping on the floor next to our bed every night now, a social butterfly (which is challenging her teacher's patience), a dancer, a singer, a teacher, an artist, warm-hearted, a crier (just like her momma), a lover of games, an instigator, adventurous, hopefully forgiving as we learn to be shapers of minihumans.

This girl who is in love with all things little, books, books, books, independant in the best/worst way, a snuggler, suddenly incredibly articulate, a decision-maker, passionate, an observer, a mover and a shaker, a developing artist, a charmer who is going to give us a run for our money ove the next 15, 20, 50 years.

This man who is supportive when he should probably be reminding me that I'm crazy to take so much on, in love with being a father of two girls, working on his craft-beard (and succeeding fabulously), responsible for most of the music in my life (real and imagined), and the humor, the reason our girls will grow up so much more knowledgeable than I was, a worthy opponent and partner-in-crime.

This family.
