just popping in...

...to say that I took this photography workshop and it was great!  advice from someone who isn't all technical is always helpful when you're starting.  if you can't afford the workshop or there isn't one being offered near you, buy the book.

also, took these online photoshop elements classes and they were awesome.  i'm no longer afraid of using the program for more than organization (after three years of owning it).  and erin's advice was to use a combination of lightroom (she has classes for that, too) and pse - most photographers (even the pros) don't need much more.  the classes are affordable and i would recommend the live classes.  but if you don't have the time, or don't want to wait for the next round, buy the pre-recorded videos.
