Ooo, ahhh. Very good weekend, though it started out rather rocky. Let's see...
We started supplementing Ainsley's bottles with formula last week and because we did, I was able to build up enough of a reserve that she didn't need formula this weekend while Tim and I went camping.
I wasn't so sure things were going to work out until mid-afternoon on Friday because Ainsley started coughing in her sleep Wednesday night and Thursday after school was unusually fussy. Friday morning she woke up with her nose completely crusted over and, again, unusually fussy. I was almost convinced she was having a reaction to the formula. So I called the nurse and made an appointment for that afternoon.
This put a bit of a damper on the camping trip because we were supposed to leave shortly after lunch. And my MIL had had plans to take Ainsley up to her school and show her off to some friends. Turns out Ainsley had an ear infection in BOTH ears and her throat was a little irritated. Ugh.
Finally, after filling prescriptions, some last-minute packing, last-minute instructions, and convincing myself that it was okay to leave Ainsley in my MIL's very capable hands, Tim and I left for our trip. So, despite the few curveballs the universe threw at us, we made it to our destination.
The remainder of my weekend was pretty much all about relaxing. I had worked pretty much all night long to finish a project on Thursday night, so there was a lot of sleeping. And good sleep it was. I went fishing with the boys on Saturday morning, but spent most of the time napping in the boat. And just hung around the campsite on Saturday afternoon.
I'm a little disappointed that I didn't do any hiking or biking, but I think I needed a real do-nothing weekend; something I haven't had in a very long time.

Yea! Good, I'm glad you got some relaxatio in...I hadn't had a good weekend like that in awhile either. No commitments... Nice when that happens.
I'm so glad you got some rest! We had a wonderful weekend with your daughter, the most beautiful and remarkable baby ever born! It was really special, and I thank you for the opportunity.
Good for you! That sounds heavenly.
