Okay, this may be too much information for some, so feel free to move on. And it’s probably bad social grace for a lady to reveal her beauty secrets, but here goes anyway: I love, love, love getting my legs waxed. Um, I should probably clarify: I’m not real crazy about the process, but very fond of the results.
It’s so nice to not have to really shave for several weeks at a time. Now, waxing does not get rid of all hair. There always a few that the strip doesn’t grab, or that are so thin that they just break off without actually being removed. So there is definitely still some shaving required, but it is still much more pleasant than before. Historically, I am one of those whose hair grows with goose bumps, so Heaven forbid I should get chilled getting out of the shower after shaving. Very frustrating.
An amusing factoid I learned during this most recent waxing: the salon/day spa I go to requires its new employees to pick a new name if they have the same name as a current employee. I guess the idea is that clients don't need to know last names when making an appointment. Can you imagine going in for a massage appointment and accidentally getting sent to get something waxed? Definitely not something I would want to go in for unprepared.
Oh, and the downfall to waxing: having to let it grow out for a week or two before going in. It’s hard in the summer.

I've thought of doing this, myself, as I hate hate HATE shaving! The growing it out really long would not be hard for me because I'm so lazy about shaving anyway, especially in the pants-wearing months. So just how bad IS it?
It's akin to ripping off a bandaid. Kind of surprising (be prepared to jump a little) but it doesn't sting for more than a few seconds.
Never waxed anything, never will. Shaving is just not that big a deal to me. I'll go days, actually. But I'm lucky have have fine, light hair. And Bubba rarely complains that I need to shave. So, no waxing for me!
Um, we miss you and your posts. I was thinking, since you now have limited online time maybe you could compose in Word and then copy/paste. They'll never know... And have you switched to the new Blogger?
I have signed up for the new blogger. It's got its good and bad points. I have been composing some stuff in Word - I just have to find time to post it. I know things have fallen off terribly. So sorry.
